Keg Steakhouse on Dunsmuir

Prime Rib (12 oz) - 2+

J's comment > I asked for more gristle (love that), but I think  the server misunderstood that as 'fat' as you can see from the hunk of fat at the tip of my piece. Note to self, confirm that gristle is cartilage, not fat, to the server next time.

Baseball Top Sirloin (12oz) - 2+

J's comment > really good grill flavour

Crab Bisque: Creamy wild crab bisque topped with Dungeness crab - 2

J's comment > too salty. We told our server, who passed on the message to the chef, and the chef came out to apologize, affirming that the bisque was indeed too salty (I wasn't imagining it!). Really really rare instance of a chef addressing our comments, so huge kudos to the Keg on Dunsmuir.

Sourdough bread & whipped butter - 2+

J's comment > loved the bread but I prefer the 'real thing' when it comes to butter

Sweet Mini: Butter tart with vanilla ice cream - 2

J's comment > tart shell could be a bit crisper

Sweet Mini: Fudge Brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel, hot fudge and whipped cream - 2

Sweet Mini: Passion fruit infused creme brulee, with a caramelized crust - 2

J's comment > would have liked more crust, but the custard was infused all right.
