Thyme to Indulge

September 14, 2013

Crispy Bacon Crusted Poached Egg: 2 locally farmed poached eggs, encrusted w bacon & deep fried for a crispy outer crust w toasted brioche & a smokey chipotle hollandaise and a fresh fruit side - 2

J's comment > technically, this dish was great, the egg yolk was still runny despite the deep fried crust on the outside. However, you can't really taste the egg as the other seasonings and sauce overwhelmed it. As the star of the dish, I would have liked to been able to taste the egg itself. Potatoes were OK.

Wild Berry Pancake Bombs: Buttermilk pancake spheres filled w a wild berry compote, topped w confection sugar and warm maple syrup - 2

J's comment > Pancakes were fluffy, but something was missing... I can't quite put my finger on it. FYI, I asked and paid for a half portion, but this looked like a full portion.

Freshly squeezed orange juice - 2
