Hamachi toro nigiri - 2+

Wagyu nigiri - 2+

J's comment > Sada-san gave us two ways; in the foreground is the wasabi shio, and in the background tare. I think I prefer the shio slightly more. The wagyu was a mouthful though, and slightly hard to chew through, but still tasty.

Hand-peeled Dungeness crab w avocado, tobiko & mayo - 2+

J's comment > having real crab definitely gives this California roll that extra oomph, making it a crunchier roll than you'd think possible with the ingredients listed. Wish there was more avocado though. Super skills from the sushi roll chef; I turned a piece of the roll upside down to dip the soy sauce on the avocado and everything still remained intact.

Soba Salad w gobo and lotus root, miso dressing - 2

J's comment > unfortunately the kitchen didn't have the gobo and lotus root today.

Salted chocolate ganache w miso caramel - 2+

Deconstructed lemon meringue tart - 2+
