Cherimoya - 2+

J's comment > quick how-to-eat guide following the jump

1 - test for ripeness by lightly tugging at one of the green pods; if it feels loose, it's ready to be peeled and eaten

2 - if green pods are loose, lightly scrape them off with a spoon, or your fingers if you don't have any cutlery

*emphasis on lightly as you don't want to bruise the flesh underneath

3 - once the green pods are off, dig in with your spoon! Or again, if you don't have cutlery, dig in with your teeth.

*FYI as you can see there are black seeds embedded in the flesh. Don't eat these.
