Pappardelle w 4-hour braised veal cheeks & porcini mushrooms - 2+

J's comment > pasta cooked perfectly, flavors sublime, veal cheeks not dry at all

Daily special: Burrata - 2+

J's comment > very creamy burrata, very well done; despite being inherently a subtle, soft cheese, the other ingredients on the plate didn't overwhelm the burrata, but rather complemented and enhanced it.

Pacific Octopus w Tuscan white beans, spelt, lightly spicy - 2+

J's comment > very tasty octopus, not spicy though

Sablefish: Pan-roasted fillet, soy sabayon & green vegetables - 2

J's comment > not bad. cooked well, nothing wrong, but nothing spectacular either

Saltspring Island Mussels steamed w Spanish chorizo in a spicy tomato broth - 2

J's comment > nod bad, lovely broth, definitely different from the usual white wine cream, but not terribly impressive

Wild Boar from Alberta two ways: Braised boneless shin & crispy belly w mustard vinaigrette - 2

J's comment > crispy belly good, but the shin was a tad dry

Warm Goat Cheese w roasted mushrooms, ratatouille, maple syrup caramel - 2
