Steak Frites: Rib eye w stilton butter sauce - 2+

J's comment > one of the rare steaks in which you can actually taste the grill flavor, and the char grill marks aren't just for show; lovely frites, not sure that the stilton butter sauce works quite as I'd hoped though... BTW, the sauce was requested on the side, hence the medallions.

Mussels Marinieres w white wine, shallots, garlic, parsley - 2

J's comment > mussels fresh and broth not too heavy; not bad really, and actually good, but average for Vancouver standards

Duck Confit Cassoulet: Duck confit, smoked bacon, Toulouse sausage, braised cannellini beans - 2

J's comment > very tender duck, loved the beans, bacon was on the fatty side though, and sausage was ho-hum; overall not bad, but not exceptional either.

Complimentary bread and butter - 2

La Creme Brulee du jour (chocolate) w sable cookie - 2+

J's comment > mmm... really tasty chocolate pudding/mousse underneath that crisp sugar topping :), cookie was meh

Wine poached pear w lady fingers - 2 

L'Orangeraie, Pays D'Oc Rose wine - 2
