Symphonie

February 19, 2014

Tomato bisque - 2+

J's comment > very tasty, kind of like a butter chicken soup; I suspect this was remade using the butter chicken sauce they serve on Tuesdays, but no complaints; it tastes fab and kudos to the chef for not wasting food

Filipino Special: Longanisa, tocino & tapa w garlic fried rice & 2 fried eggs - 2

J's comment > longanisa (filipino sweet sausage) was on the juicy side so that was my fav meat on the plate; tocino (sweet pork) and tapa (dried beef slice) were OK

Boy Bawano Cornick: Garlic flavor deep fried corn kernels - 2

J's comment > unusual... don't know how they deep fried the corn kernels without it turning into popcorn.

Chippy: Barbecue Corn Chips - 2

Chiz Curls: Cheese flavored corn chips - 2

A filipino cafe tucked inside the Sun Life Financial building on Pender on the ground floor, you might not see it from the street if you drive by. Really lovely staff who brought my order to my table. For their menu du jour, follow them on Twitter: www.twitter.com/symphoniefood
