Bangers & Mash: Plump pork bangers w mashed potato, baked beans & beer braised onions topped w a rich gravy - 2+

J's comment > sausage pleasantly plump as advertised; mash and baked beans not bad either

Fisherman’s Pie: Wild salmon, haddock, scallops & shrimp, baked in a creamy white wine & mushroom sauce, baked w mashed potato - 2+

J's comment > just as tasty as last visit's

The Lamb Burger: House-made, tomato, beer braised onion, Stilton cheese, butter lettuce & a pickle spear - 2

J's comment > not bad; lamb not gamey; soup really average

Fish & Chips: Fresh long line ling cod fried golden in beer batter, all dished up w a house made slaw & tartar sauce - 2

J's comment > not bad; batter much better this time than previous visit

Yam Fries w spicy mayo - 2

J's comment > not bad; exterior could be just a bit crisper though

Cheshire Yorky Bowl w Guiness braised beef, mashed potatoes, gravy & veg - 2

J's comment > beef was kinda tough; yorkshire pudding airy but not fluffy

Charter Chicken Pie: Tender chicken, leeks, carrots and peas in a rich white wine cream sauce, pastry crust - 2

J's comment > crust not bad, but filling so-so; pie crust inside soggy

Stilton & Goat Cheese slice served w warm toasties - 2

Nachos Grande: Stacked high crisp tortilla chips baked w cheddar & jack cheeses, black sliced olives & jalapenos, served w salsa & sour cream (half order) - 2

J's comment > the cheese made the chips soggy; extra points to the kitchen for actually layering the cheese between each layer of tortilla chips though.
