#23 Pan fried stuffed egg plant w shrimp paste in black bean sauce - 2+

J's comment > really soft eggplant, to the point of mushy (which is the right way to be done); ratio of shrimp paste to eggplant a tad more than I'd like though (I prefer the eggplant over the shrimp in this dish in general)

#02 Fresh shrimp dumplings (har gao) - 2+

J's comment > wrapper non sticky at all but just a tad thick; generous amts of shrimp (caution, which means the whole thing falls apart once you bite into it)

#03 Pork dumplings w tobiko (siu mai) - 2+

J's comment > juicy meat

#06 Steamed chicken feet w gluten - 2+

J's comment > not bad; tender feet; sauce not overpowering

#33 Deep fried sesame balls w peanuts & sesame paste - 2+

J's comment > had a good chewy texture on the outside and the molten black sesame on the inside sealed the deal

#40 Baked egg tarts - 2

J's comment > not bad, pastry OK, filling semi-stiff & semi-watery (I know, sounds weird, but that's exactly how it was)

#28 Baked BBQ pork pastry - 2

J's comment > pastry not bad; BBQ meat just average

#21 Mini Sticky Rice in Bamboo Leaves - 2

J's comment > rice very flavorful, decent amt of meat

#42 Minced beef in rice noodle wrap - 2

#44 Dried pork & chinese donut in rice noodle wrap - 2

J's comment > donut tad denser that I like

#11 Steamed BBQ pork buns - 2

J's comment > not bad, but flavor of BBQ pork not very pronounced

#60 Deep fried chicken knee w spicy salt - 2

J's comment > tad too much batter around the knees hence the texture was more doughy than crunchy, proportionately speaking

#32 Steamed buns w custard fillings - 2

J's comment > we expected the custard to be liquidy like the ones @ Fraser Court, but the filling was completely solid; flavor & bun were OK
