Lobster w pearl rice on lotus leaves - 3

J's comment > Old Buddies' signature dish; most accurately defined; each grain of rice was infused w the lobster essence and the lobster itself was fresh and oh-so-tasty; most appreciated too was the chopping up of the lobster, such that it was easy to peel off the meat from the shells without having to go cave-man style on the lobster.

Peking duck (half portion): Skin wrap - 2

J's comment > not bad, skin crisp, wraps good, but lacked a certain je ne sais quoi

Lettuce wrap - 2

J's comment > also not bad, but something was still missing

Assorted fried noodles - 2

J's comment > not bad, all the ingredients were fresh, but sauce was a tad salty; noodles were crispy and the sauce in the center softens the noodles closer to the center.

Almond tea - 2+

J's comment > had actual pieces of real almond in it! First almond tea I've ever had that has actual almonds, and it's the good stuff too, not dried out almond slivers from the bulk section of a supermarket

Word on the street is that the chef of Old Buddies moved over from Ho Yuen Kee.
