Red Chicken

March 28, 2014

Pajeon 파전: Pancake made with mixed seafood, green onion, and imitation crab meat (small) - 2

J's comment > not bad; lovely outer crisp, batter soft on the inside; fillings abundant

Yangnyeom Galbi 양념갈비: Grilled beef ribs marinated in Authentic Korean BBQ sauce - 2

J's comment > beef really chewy, but marinade not bad - you can taste that the beef was indeed marinated and that the sauce wasn't just poured on top at the last minute; the sauce whilst a bit on the salty side, was manageable

Complimentary side dishes - 2

J's comment > potatoes could have been 'mushier'; kimchi OK, bean sprouts OK

Dolsot Bibimbab 돌솥 비빔밥: Bibimbab served in sizzling stone pot - 2

J's comment > bland; the sauce on the side was a mild reprieve (it's not spicy), but couldn't save this dish

Red Chicken 레드 치킨: Signature grilled boneless chicken w vegetable served on hot plate (extremely hot) - 1

J's comment > OMG, when Red Chicken says it's 'extremely hot', be forewarned that it's REALLY hot; I admit that I don't rank very high on the Scoville scale, but I can usually take a decent level of spiciness - this, not at all; the spiciness of this dish was also the type that just burns and doesn't have any other flavor; chicken was almost dry
