Scallops & Dungeness: Seared scallops, dungeness salad, scalloped potatoes - 2+

J's comment > star of this dish was the potatoes - OMG... so creamy and so many thin layers, truly delish; decent portion of crab, fresh and went well w the pea shoots as a salad combo; scallops cooked well, but tad cold on the dish

Fresh fusili w pork & fennel sausages, basil, walnut pesto & garlic toast - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the seared bits of the fusili; sausage not bad; could have used a lot more sauce, but I suspect the chef wanted to serve this pasta sans plus de sauce

Beef Bourguignon: Red wine, mashed potatoes, pearl onions, mushrooms, carrots - 2

J's comment > beef tender, but tad dry a la braised-factor; strong beef flavor

Complimentary prosciutto & bread - 2

Cherry brandy cheesecake - 2+

J's comment > very creamy cheesecake, not as stiff as last visit's pumpkin cheesecake; cherry evident both in sight and in taste; strong brandy tones; crust at the bottom unfortunately harder than I'd like

Straw-beery Fizz: Galliano, mint, orange zest, Fruli strawberry beer, chocolate - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the fizzy factor from the beer (trace strawberry flavor, yeasty flavor from beer completely absent); the chocolate around the rim was a nice touch, but would have loved an actual chunk on munch on ;)
