Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House

April 23, 2014

Prawn & Scallop Gnocchi: Potato gnocchi, peas, summer squash, baby arugula, cream - 2

J's comment > not bad; gnocchi doughy but not heavy; both prawns and scallops fresh, not overcooked

Halibut Cheeks w tomato, leeks, herbs, butter - 2

J's comment > halibut way overcooked but otherwise flavors not bad

Complimentary lobster oil and bread - 2

J's comment > bread much fresher this time round, still tad too dense to properly soak up and enjoy the lobster oil in all its glory though.

Creme brulee (half portion) - 2

J's comment > custard tad thick; sugar crust tad thick; biscotti surprisingly not as stale as expected from past experiences w other biscottis on desserts
