Mogu, Japanese Street Eats

April 15, 2014

Chicken Teriyaki sandwich: Roasted chicken, house made teriyaki and Japanese tartar sauce, red onions, lettuce - 3

J's comment > chicken just as tender and juicy as previous visits; marinade just the right balance, not too salty, w the tartar sauce, it was just heavenly; very happy that this has remained consistently good over the past visits.

Kabocha Korokke sandwich: Sweet Japanese squash croquette, katsu sauce, avocado, lettuce - 2+

J's comment > not bad; as vegetarian burgers go, this was quite tasty; the squash croquette was very creamy, but not terribly crispy as the word 'croquette' implies; avocado a pretty touch, but unnoticeable under the stronger flavored squash croquette

Corn potage soup: Old school Japanese style corn potage - 2

J's comment > really hot after trekking it all the way back to the office 10 mins away outside in the cold; good flavor, but really really thick; unfortunately I think this was thickened by cornstarch and not w cream & potatoes :(
