#27 Rendang Sapi: Spicy beef stew simmered in coconut milk and Indonesian herbs - 2+

J's comment > tender beef pieces; flavor good, but needs some spice for an extra kick

#45 Emping: Bitter nut crackers - 2+

J's comment > more like chips, really thin and crisp; not bitter in the least

Gado Gado: Indonesian style vegetable salad w hard boiled eggs, potatoes & tofu topped w house made peanut sauce, fried shallots & shrimp chips - 2+

J's comment > veggies crisp and went well w the peanut sauce; tofu was a pleasant surprise, almost has a crisp covering, not dry in the least; shrimp chips were borderline soggy though

#25 Ayam Goreng Kuning: Marinated Bandung style fried chicken - 2+

J's comment > flavor slightly different from 'regular' fried chicken, not much but there is a subtle difference; chicken tad dry on the outside, more juicy towards the center

#18 Nasi Goreng Ayam: Indonesian style fried rice w chicken - 1

J's comment > texture OK, but the smell! This rice had a really 'eggy' smell to it that was downright nauseating. Might be just me though, my fellow diners were fine w it

Bubur Ketan Hitam: Warm black sweet rice topped w pandan leaf infused coconut milk - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the coconut milk dollop on top, left a subtle but definitely present coconut flavor; rice unfortunately overdone

Es Alpukat: Iced avocado shake w coffee and condensed milk - 2+

J's comment > coffee flavor way more pronounced than the avocado, so it was essentially an iced coffee, but the creamy texture of the avocado lent a really smooth base w a hint of avocado flavor; well done

Es Cendol: Iced drink w tapioca pandan pearls, palm sugar & coconut milk - 2

J's comment > tad too much ice for my liking; more coconutty in flavor than pandan; tad too sweet
