Snacks from T & T Crosstown

April 2, 2014

Meiji: Fran, Strawberry - 2+

J's comment > loved the extra whipped texture of the strawberry coating on the stick; also, more coating than stick, which I prefer

Glico, Pocky: Strawberry - 2

J's comment > strawberry flavor OK; more pocky stick than pocky coating

Kinokonoyama: Mix juice - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the signature kinokonoyama texture of chocolate topped stubby pretzels; flavor ok, but wasn't quite as 'mix juice' as the packaging suggests, more like just a white chocolate flavor

Glico: Pocky Panda, Cookies & Cream - 2

J's comment > really subtle 'cookies and cream' flavor; way more pocky stick than pocky coating

Cadbury, Fingers: Cookies covered w milk chocolate - 2

J's comment > really crisp cookies but processed flour taste really evident; chocolate OK; would have liked a tad more chocolate to cookie ratio

Lotte: Chocolate mochi ice cream - 2

J's comment > ready to eat (ie not frozen solid when you take it out of the freezer), still, best to let it warm up at room temp for a bit before sinking your teeth in

Meiji: Horohorone Dolce (honey pickled apples) - 2

J's comment > keyword here is 'pickled', not sour, but not sweet either; the mushiness texture from apples in an apple pie present

Meiji: Melty Kiss whips, Creamy Raisin - 2

J's comment > with the word 'whips', I thought it would be fluffier than it actually tasted; it was kinda like a really dense cream; raisin flavor was very light

Meiji: Rich Strawberry biscuits - 2

J's comment > your avg supermarket variety, nothing special

Rasucre: White chocolate covered rusks - 2

J's comment > really weird warped white chocolate flavor; rusk crisp

Nestle, Kit Kat: White & milk - 1

J's comment > terribly sweet, not much chocolate flavor at all, just sugar
