Chawan Mushi w Kani (Steamed egg custard w crab) - 2+
J's comment > excellent texture and flavor; not too 'eggy' as these sometimes go; beautiful pannacotta-like-ish jiggliness (heeheehee... I do love to 'pat' my custards w a spoon); generous amts of crab (although it's all sunk to the bottom, so you have to dig for this) |

Avocado Hosomaki (roll) - 2
J's comment > not bad; loved the additional texture created by thinly slicing the avocado and then putting the pieces back together, as opposed to just slicing off a chunk and rolling it up; that said though, would have loved a tad more avocado to rice ratio |

Unatama roll: Homemade Japanese egg omelet on top of unagi roll - 2
Toro nigiri - 2
Hamachi nigiri - 2
Salmon nigiri - 2
J's comment > not bad overall; unfortunately, the unatama fell from favor, I think there was a tad too much rice to egg & unagi ratio, and the rice, whilst not terrible, wasn't mind-blowing enough to overlook this point
Fish were all fresh for the nigiris, and the rice was OK, but there's a distinct difference between the quality of Tsuki's nigiris and Octopus Garden's nigiris (I really can't help comparing all nigiris to Octopus Garden's, which I think are simply divine); |

Complimentary miso soup - 2
J's comment > not bad, your usual miso soup, but no chunky miso bits like some places have them |
 |
Yuzushu: Yuzu honey sake cocktail - 2
J's comment > slightly imbalanced, even after mixing the drink on my own w the straw, some sips were sweeter (more honey) and others were more yuzu-flavored |
