PHAT @ Royal Centre

Latkes: Shredded potato pancakes w sour cream & apple sauce (skinny) - 3

Smoked meat sandwich served on marble rye w mustard (skinny) - 2

J's comment > OMG, the Latkes (AKA hashbrown) were out of this world! Truly fab - perfectly crisped on the outside and potato shreds well-cooked in the centre, not mushy nor raw, just the right temp; slightly greasy but not heavy; sour cream flavor not very strong but I think it went just a tad better w the Latkes than the apple sauce; McDonald's hashbrowns have nothing on these Latkes

Smoked meat not bad; not as smoky as some others I've had in the past; funny thing is, I got a sample to try before ordering, and on its own, the one slice tasted better; I can't explain it, but I think enjoying the smoked meat slice by slice tastes better to me than when the meat gets stacked as shown; bread soft; pitched against the other 'famous' smoked meat deli in town (Dunn's), I'd have to say PHAT takes it.
