#19 Roasted Duck Curry | แกงเผ็ดเป็ดย่าง: Red coconut milk curry w roasted duck, pineapple, bell pepper, tomato, basil leaves and bamboo shoot - 2+

J's comment > curry flavor excellent - creamy w just a slight punch of spice; duck OK, but definitely stingy on the portion of meat; way more bamboo shoots than duck; nevertheless, a relief to see that this dish is still a 2+ from last visit in Jan 2013 (alas, it all went downhill from here - keep reading for the other dishes' review)

#18A Red Curry | แกง in coconut milk w bell pepper, basil leaves and bamboo shoot w beef - 2+

J's comment > curry flavor excellent - creamy w just a slight punch of spice; beef woefully overcooked and tough

#25 Pad Ped Gai | ไก่ผัดเผ็ด: Stir fried chicken w bell pepper, bamboo shoot, and basil leaves in chili sauce - 2+

J's comment > chicken very tender; bamboo shoots crisp; chili sauce wasn't spicy

#22 Pra Ram | พระรามลงสรง: Chicken on a bed of spinach topped w peanut sauce - 2

J's comment > chicken kinda bland, not as tender as the other dish above; I betcha this was literally just boiled spinach and chicken w peanut sauce smothered on top

#59A Pad Thai Woon Sen | ผัดไทยวุ้นเส้น: Stir fried bean thread noodles w tofu, prawns, egg, green onion and bean sprout in soy sauce - 2

J's comment > meh, avg vermicelli stir fry, just a touch of soy sauce, not too salty despite having a choice of having a soy sauce base of a tomato base

#2 Thai Satay | หมู/ไก่สะเต๊ะ: Pork and chicken marinated in mixture of spices, broiled and served w peanut sauce - 2

J's comment > chicken was way more tender than the pork; satay flavor practically non-existent (essentially just pan-fried chicken & pork)

#20B Hor Mok Gai Ma Praw Onn | ห่อหมกไก่มะพร้าวอ่อน: Deep fried crispy chicken breast w young coconut meat in red coconut milk curry served in whole coconut - 2

J's comment > flavors OK, but chicken was definitely not crispy; didn't get the coconut meat texture either

#51B Pla Saam Rod | ปลาทอดราดซอส – Deep fried whole fish topped w three-flavor sauce - 2

J's comment > fish not crispy at all; sauce was meh, slightly salty, not much over flavor

#13 Tom Yum | ต้มยำไก่/กุ้ง: Hot and sour soup w straw mushroom, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves w choice of chicken - 2

J's comment > avg tom yum soup, definitely on the sour side

#62B Coconut Rice | ข้าว - 2

J's comment > avg, goes well w curry; need this to choke down the saltiness from the other dishes below

#40 Pad Priew Wan Moo | หมูผัดเปรี้ยวหวาน: Pork sautéed w cucumber, pineapple, tomato and onion in Thai style sweet and sour sauce - 2

J's comment > kinda like the chinese sweet and sour pork, except the pork pieces here are much smaller and in slices

#77 Pad Kee Mao Noodle | ก๋วยเตี๋ยวผัดขี้เมา: Stir fried flat rice noodle w baby corn, onion, bell pepper, straw mushroom and basil leaves & chicken - 2

J's comment > flavors avg; noodles borderline mushy

#55C Pad Eggplant | ผัดผัก: Stir fried eggplant, bell pepper and basil leaves w black bean and oyster sauce - 1

J's comment > incredibly salty

#36 Garlic Beef | เนื้อกระเทียมพริกไทย: Pan fried marinated beef w garlic and black pepper, garnish w green onion and cilantro - 1

J's comment > incredibly salty and meat was tough; ick

Thai ice tea - 2

J's comment > not overly sweet but still meh
