Pappardelle & mushroom pasta w leeks, toasted pine nuts, herbs, padano cheese - 2+

J's comment > slightly creamy, just the way I like it; pasta perfectly al dente; mushrooms very flavorful; didn't really get the leeks or pine nuts though

Jambon (ham), champignon (mushroom), parmesan flat bread (baked thin crust dressed bread) - 2+

J's comment > bread was most unusual in a really good way, not like any pizza dough I've ever had before; ham and mushrooms were very flavorful; just needs more cheese to become a formidable pizza :)

French onion soup w gruyere cheese & crouton - 2+

J's comment > very generous amts of cheese; soup base tad light underneath the heavy cheese, but still good!

Rabbit Terrine w apple compote, toasted baguette - 2

J's comment > not bad; terrine dense as expected, but still spreadable; rabbit flavor not unusual, kinda like a reg pork terrine actually; baguettes really crisp

Steak Frites: 8oz grilled sirloin, watercress, red wine sauce - 2

J's comment > not bad; your avg steak; frites featured below

Roasted duck breast w orecchiette pasta & duck confit ragout - 2

J's comment > duck breast well cooked, not stringy in the least

Lamb sirloin roast w vegetable casserole & fried polenta - 2

J's comment > loved the fried polenta, very crispy on the outside; lamb not gamey at all, tender; but dish overall kinda avg

Tagliatelle Pasta w clams & lobster, chili-garlic, parsley & chive - 2

J's comment > pasta cooked as well as the pappardelle; seafood fresh; could have used a tad more sauce though; not spicy despite the chili described

Frites - 2

J's comment > slightly on the hard side but fresh

Poutine - 2

J's comment > gravy so-so, just made the fries soggy; cheese curds passable

Complimentary bread and butter - 2

J's comment > bread OK, slightly hard; butter unsalted

Pumpkin cheesecake - 2

J's comment > not bad; creamy; pumpkin flavor not too strong

Chocolate strawberry bomb - 2

J's comment > not bad; essentially a chocolate mousse w strawberry filling in the center; mousse very creamy; didn't quite get the strawberry flavor though

Le Souffle Glace: Vanilla iced souffle & citrus sorbet, white chocolate pistachio tuille - 2

J's comment > the 'souffle' was more like an iced vanilla custard, not ice cream, custard, vanilla flavor not very strong; sorbet was very light, excellent pairing w the slightly rich 'souffle'
