June 2014 T & T snacks & drinks

June 30, 2014

Glico, Shall We?: Matcha shortbread cookie - 2+

J's comment > very buttery shortbread; matcha flavor present but not overwhelmingly strong; shortbread overall crumbled wonderfully

Fujiya: Milky chocolate - 2

J's comment > not bad; very creamy milk chocolate

Kracie: Rose chocolate covered rose sherbet - 2

J's comment > not bad; definitely very rosy flavors as advertised; very thin rose chocolate covering that just shatters when you bite into it; sherbet had really miniscule ice fragments that just dissolved in your mouth like it was never there;  very light, I can easily polish off the whole pack and still want more; ready to eat too, no need to 'defrost' like some mochi ice creams might need if you're after the creamy factor; reminiscent of the other Kracie Fuwarinka rose candy product that I tried in February

Morinaga: Dars crunch cube - 2

J's comment > not bad; very crunchy as advertised; chocolate flavor not too strong though

Marunaga: Sakura mochi ice bar - 2

J's comment > not bad; very delicate & soft ice bars, melts easily; mochi on the soft side inside the bar; bean paste very subtle

Rowntrees, Frutips: Lychee - 2

J's comment > not bad; gummy lychee drops, strong artificial lychee flavor

Lotte: Hokkaido Vanilla Bar - 2

J's comment > not bad; very creamy, not terribly strong in the vanilla flavor though

Glico: Caramel candy - 2

J's comment > not bad; the chewy kind of caramel, doesn't stick to the teeth as badly as some other versions

Careme: Delicia chocolate cookie - 2

J's comment > tiny cookies but generous (relatively) chunk of chocolate filling sandwiched between the two cookies

Careme: Cacao Plus - 2

J's comment > dense chocolate matcha balls; slightly creamy

Bourbon, Chocolande: Strawberry chocolate - 2

J's comment > slightly dense yet a tad airy, intense flavored strawberry chocolates

Mr. Ito, Langue du chat: Cocoa - 2

J's comment > your avg cookie, not very buttery, crisp but not very flavorful

Bourbon: Chocolate seta - 2

J's comment > crunchy cookies w the advertised chocolate flavor

Fujiya: Look Chocolate - 1

J's comment > oily and greasy texture; hardly any chocolate flavor; all three versions, 'white', 'mild' and 'bitter' tasted exactly the same - horrid

Vita: Lemon tea - 2

J's comment > tad too sweet, get the less sweet version next time

Vitasoy: Less sugar soy drink - 2

J's comment > not a fan of this as I used to be once upon a time (like a decade and half ago); the soy flavor whilst present, just stays on the tongue and has to be scraped off

Wong Lo Kat: Herbal tea - 2

J's comment > slightly sweet chrysanthemum tea; chinese herbal flavors not too strong
