Toro Tataki - 2+

J's comment > fish was fresh and not smelly in the least; lovely balance of the yuzu flavor w the richness of the toro

Helen's Roll - 2

J's comment > not bad; very well wrapped rolls, didn't fall apart on picking up; slightly too much cream cheese though, would have loved a tad more salmon

Beef teriyaki roll - 2

Avocado roll - 2

Salmon nigiri - 2

J's comment > the rolls were not bad; again, very well wrapped; the beef teriyaki roll had just the right amount of sauce and wasn't drowning; avocado roll was good, but because the chef didn't slice the avocado before wrapping, it was just a chunk of avocado in your mouth instead of thinly sliced buttery vegetable goodness; salmon nigiri was OK, tad too much rice, not enough salmon

Chicken fried rice - 2

J's comment > not bad; rice was slightly overcooked, borderline mushy, but the flavor was very intriguing

Miso soup - 2

J's comment > not bad; better than the avg fare at these sort of joints

Yakitori - 2

J's comment > tad too salty; chicken borderline dry

Chicken teriyaki w yaki soba - 2

J's comment > noodles salty and overdone; chicken passable

Canadian - 2

J's comment > not bad; very light despite it being a 'lager'

Asahi dry - 2

J's comment > slightly stronger than the Canadian above
