Spaghetti, Tomatoes, Meatballs & Basil - 2

J's comment > not bad; spaghetti cooked perfectly; would have liked a tad more sauce; meatballs tad stiff

Braised pork shoulder, ricotta gnocchi & king oyster mushrooms - 2

J's comment > not bad; very tender pork shoulder but tad dry unless you spread on quite a chunk of sauce; needs more sauce; gnocchi cooked well, bouncy; mushrooms OK

Scotch egg - 2

J's comment > not bad; excellent technique in making the egg yolk gooey yet completely cooked egg whites; meat a tad stiff; flavor OK; BTW, the mayo on this goes OK w the egg, but even better w the beets below

Pork Croquettes - 2

J's comment > not bad; tad salty on the exterior and tad bland on the inside; shredded pork center was very tender though; dip didn't really work

Butter lettuce salad, radish, pickled shallots & ranch dressing - 2

J's comment > very creamy dressing coated evenly through each leaf; kudos to using butter leaf lettuce instead of the ho-hum avg green lettuce

Roasted beets, hazelnuts & swiss chard - 2

J's comment > tad hard, previous tries had the beets much softer; swiss chard and nuts combo actually worked pretty well; Note to self; ask for the mayo from the scotch egg dish for the beets on the side next time

Chocolate chip cookies - 3

J's comment > best cookies ever, see previous posts for confirmation on just how great these are

Lemon tart w meringue & blueberries - 3

J's comment > best lemon tart ever; server advised that the white tips are actually egg whites, NOT marshmallows as I thought last time, but I still say they taste nothing like egg whites and have a sweetness and texture similar to marshmallow

Back Hand of God organic stout, crannog ales, Sorento, BC - 2

J's comment > not too strong; not hoppy

Customized drink - 2

J's comment > not bad; not very strong, definite sweetness that was at the same time subtle
