Bagel w cream cheese - 2

J's comment > 'bagel' was dense, but was more reminiscent of a really dense bread; cream cheese didn't have much flavor

I picked this location randomly to try an 'avg' New York bagel and not exaggerating at all here, everyone inside was Jewish. So when I walked in, an Asian chick in a bright neon pink shirt w florescent orange shorts, everyone turned to stare, and the shop owner actually looked confused as I walked up and started snapping pics of the menu. He was nice though and asked if I wanted a menu, to which I politely declined and mumbled something about being a food blogger and needed pics for my food diary (you'd notice that I try to keep a low profile about posting pics of myself anywhere on the web). Anyhoos, he looked like he was about to ask if I needed directions, but I quickly interjected and asked for a bagel, after which all was cool.

So the moral of the story is, if you're not Jewish and happen to be in the neighborhood, definitely walk in to get a priceless expression out of the owner ;D. And maybe do ask for directions. ;P
