Frissant: Cookies & cream - 2+

J's comment > a taller and crisper version of THE Cronut; loved the fluffy/crisp blend of the Frissant, I'd have to say the Frissant is slightly more 'croissant' and the Cronut is a bit more balanced in being the perfect blend of being both a donut and a croissant; having said that though,
texture-wise, I do like both the Frissant and Cronut equally;

flavor-wise, the Frissant's 'Cookies and cream' was actually just cream in the center w a sprinkling of 'cookie' on top, not bad, but not impressive; I preferred the Cronut's strawberry filling; thankfully, the flavors change monthly for both the Frissant & Cronut

Glazed donut - 2

J's comment > not bad; a doughier, bigger version of Krispy Kreme's original glazed donuts; good for a quick fix if you're craving a KKOGD and can't get to Delta; FYI, I got this to 1) compare against the KKOGD and 2) pitch it against the Frissant above; the fluffiness in this donut is similar to the fluff factor in the Frissant - excellent uprising :D

Laugenwecken (wee bit o' pretzel) - 2

J's comment > dense, not soft as advertised by the Vancouver Mag 101 things to taste; an avg pretzel; I much prefer Auntie Anne's

Beef Baguette: Roast beef, spinach, tomato, red onion, swiss, Horad mayo - 2

J's comment > bread kinda dense w more crust than soft center; not much flavor in the beef or cheese; needs a lot more mayo

Opera cake slice - 1

J's comment > slightly stale - totally tasted like fridge; layers completely fell apart as you dig your fork in; the creamy-looking icing had more icing than actual cream
