Salmon Niçoise Salad fingerling potatoes, soft boiled egg, fine herb vinaigrette - 2

J's comment > not bad; definitely more non-veggie components than the word 'salad' brings to mind; salmon did not have the slightest trace of fishiness to it, very well done on this point, cooked medium rare too, as opposed to the dried out, overcooked salmon that most places are wont to do; complements on the dish all worked in harmony, very fresh

Grilled Chicken Banh Mi sandwich: Lemongrass chicken, black pepper jam, crunchy vegetables, jalapeño, cilantro

J's comment > not bad; very generous amts of chicken, juicy too; complements worked well, even the cilantro; baguette very soft

Tiramisu Parfait - 2

J's comment > not bad; first tiramisu I've ever had that tasted refreshingly light instead of rich and slightly heavy; very creamy nonetheless, but could have used a touch more cake; coffee jello on top an interesting take on the caffeine component of tiramisu

Valrhona dark chocolate chunk cookie - 2

J's comment > not bad; more like a brownie than a cookie; slightly crisped on the edges, but definitely brownie texture (soft and slightly chewy) on the inside

Strawberry Citrus Palita popsicle - 2

J's comment > not bad; definitely on the sour side though; loved the use of actual fresh strawberries frozen inside, but strawberries were unfortunately of the sour variety

Iced Vietnamese Coffee Sua Da - 2

J's comment > definitely was just an iced coffee as opposed to the Vietnamese style, coffee flavor not too strong either; ironic, since Beta5's Vietnamese coffee cream puff had stronger Vietnamese coffee flavors than this actual 'Vietnamese coffee'
