El Caracol

Pupusas: Corn flour pockets filled w cheese & pork - 2

J's comment > not bad; very well made, crisp exterior and cheesy pork in the center, but just the slightest bit bland

Hondurian Enchilada: Crunchy corn tortilla w ground meat, cabbage, tomatoes & home made salsa - 2

J's comment > essentially a crispy taco shell w ground beef on top; the shell simply shattered the moment I bit into it - it was better to eat this w a fork and tapping the shell to bits to begin with; beef was definitely bland and not exactly piping hot; cabbage was just hanging out, no flavor at all

Chicken Fajita served w 4 tortillas & sour cream - 2

J's comment > fajita avg; for the first time I came across a dish that doesn't automatically taste better when you slather on sour cream, or at least not this particular brand of sour cream - it was more like greek yogurt than sour cream

Platanos: Grilled plantain slices served w sour cream - 2

J's comment > plantain not the ripest of the bunch, slightly stiff, greasy as expected; same sour cream from the fajitas which detracted rather than added

Guava milkshake - 2

J's comment > not bad; subtle guava notes, not too milky

Tamarindo - 2

J's comment > needs just a dash of sweetener, slightly too sour
