Kentucky hot brown: Smoked confit turkey, mornay, bacon, sourdough toast, home fries - 2

J's comment > not bad; essentially an open-faced grilled cheese sandwich was a lot of meat between the cheese and bread; very soft bread; confit turkey not dry, smoky flavor not too strong; real star were the home fries though, beautifully crisp all around each piece and soft in the center

Side of waffles, bourbon honey, whipped buttermilk ricotta - 2

J's comment > not bad; crisp waffles, not doughy at all, not even in the center; honey paired well w the crispness; ricotta OK

Fried chicken and waffles: Bourbon honey, pickled chillies, apple slaw - 2

J's comment > not bad; not as juicy as last visit's, but still cooked through and not dry despite the thickness of the chicken; again, would have liked more crispy skin, smaller pieces w more skin would have been ideal

Side of biscuit and corn bread, jalapeño bourbon butter - 2

J's comment > not bad; very soft corn bread as from last visit's (consistency!) that crumbles on even the slightest touch, but corn flavor strong; biscuit was firmer but not as flavorful of course; didn't get the jalapeno or bourbon in the butter at all, unsalted too

Side of white cheddar grits - 2

J's comment > kinda like a risotto w chunks of white cheddar

Freedom toast w honeyed pears, pecans, buttermilk ricotta - 2

J's comment > tad too doughy for my liking, not fluffy or had any particular texture really, just... doughy; could have used more syrup

Side of fruit salad, fruits, yogurt, granola-ish stuff, almonds - 2

J's comment > your avg fruit salad...

Coffee - 2

J's comment > not too bitter, totally palatable without the sugar and cream
