Pomme Frites (came w the rib eye below) - 3

J's comment > Wow! These tasted much much better than from previous visits (these used to just be avg); today I guess we got lucky and these turned out oh-so-crisp on the exterior and soft in the center; very addictive; really hope this is the new standard for fries going forward

13oz Boneless rib eye & frites, bourbon & peppercorn sauce - 2+

J's comment > very flavorful rib eye; really tender although just a smidgen over cooked, leaning toward more medium than medium-rare; decent amt of gristle (my fav! totally extra points for this); concentrated jus; not quite as large as the one ordered in the last visit; note to self - get rare next time

Chicken liver toast - 2+

J's comment > consistent w last visit's; very creamy chicken liver mousse; excellent pairing w the jelly underneath; toast crisp; although the ratio of mousse to toast was a tad much in the mousse's favor - forgot to ask for more toast crisps... definitely get at least two more toast crisps to divvy up the mousse

Mac & Cheese, bacon - 2

J's comment > not bad; adequate cheese flavors although physically could have used more cheese, cheese also more crisped than gooey and stretchy; pasta cooked well; bacon a nice touch but not strictly necessary

Chocolate chip cookies - 3

J's comment > yup, still fav cookies of ALL time

Perfect old pal: Bourbon, Campari, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth - 2

J's comment > really easy to drink, not as 'alcoholy' as I expected of a cocktail

Macchiato - 2

J's comment > not bad; smooth, not too bitter
