Pan seared gnocchi w arugula, pesto, grape tomatoes, yellow squash, parmesan - 2

J's comment > not bad; softest gnocchi I've ever had; savory foam and pesto was a dreamy combination but would have liked more of both to pair w the gnocchi

Tasting Board

Monte Enebro, Spain: Blue rind semi-soft - 2

Mont Jacob, Quebec: Semi-soft - 2

Lamb terrine - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the Monte Enebro, like a blue cheese but without the blue veins, although the Rocquefort flavor permeates through anyways - absolutely delish but I would have liked the texture to be creamier like a Brie; Mont Jacob didn't actually have much flavor; lamb terrine was surprisingly creamy and not too gamey, went absolutely fab w the mayo; bread pieces were fresh and not the stale / leftover stuff you sometimes get, still the cheese and lamb tasted better on their own

Fraser Valley pork cheeks confit w baby carrots, crushed potatoes, herbed yogurt, pea puree - 2

J's comment > very tender and flavorful pork cheeks; texture of potatoes the perfect balance of soft yet firm; veggies were all very fresh; pea puree had actual pea flavor - I'm guessing this was 100% pea puree and wasn't mixed w anything else

No bake cheesecake w rhubarb & strawberry compote - 2

J's comment > loved the strawberry compote; cheesecake texture was stiff and didn't have much cheese flavor, more like a very stiff panna cotta

Apple bread pudding w vanilla ice cream, brandied caramel - 2

J's comment > again, loved the sauce (brandied caramel) more than the actual dessert itself; least unsaturated bread pudding I've ever had, this was actually like a piece of bread w baked apples on top; would have preferred more sauce to soak the bread pudding in
