Seared Albacore Tuna sandwich w bonito mayo, yuzu pickles, bibb lettuce (half) - 2
J's comment > not bad; tuna good but could have used a tad more portion-wise; bread was soft and texture quite similar to that of the tuna actually, so despite not having much tuna, because of the pickle flavors and gari (the pink slices of ginger you find at sushi restaurants), you can almost believe that there is more tuna than there actually is |

Kale Salad w manchego, baby beets, peas, fennel, chili (half) - 2
J's comment > another very 'vinegar-y' dish; didn't really taste the cheese at all; definitely didn't get the chili |

Double lemon tart - 2
J's comment > not bad; good balance of the sweet/sour flavors of a lemon; tart shell crisp and dense, exactly the way a lemon tart shell should be |

Blueberry Quark cheese & citrus tart - 2
J's comment > not bad; soft and crumbly, kinda like a ricotta texture but firmer and just a tad denser; subtle blueberry flavors, but I was surprised to taste it at all as the blueberry is usually so mild it completely disappears on cooking it in any form; mild cheese flavors too; didn't get the 'citrus' part of the tart, but like the lemon tart above, excellent pastry shell tart even though both types are different - this one was more crumbly and firm but crisp nonetheless |
