Alkaline noodles w spicy almond sauce, braised burdock, greens & crispy beef brisket - 2

J's comment > not bad; Burdock's play on the chinese Dan Dan noodles; sauce good, but a tad too thick (that is the general idea of the Dan Dan noodles, but I prefer my sauce a bit more soupy); noodles very bouncy; brisket crispy yet also juicy, very well done on this point

Sourdough w La Pyramide cheese, fir tip honey - 2

J's comment > not bad; honey and cheese both good on their own, but together didn't quite meld as effortlessly as I remember from the last dinner; needs a few more pieces of sourdough for the amt of cheese and honey provided, but the pieces on the dish were good, lightly toasted, still crisp despite being drowned in honey

Slow roasted bison ribs, spicy tomato glaze, tahini yogurt, charred green onion - 2

J's comment > very tender meat, falls off the bone; not gamey, but not as juicy as beef or pork as bison is inherently leaner; loved the yogurt, but would have liked more to dip the ribs through; glaze was OK, thankfully not the 'avg BBQ sauce', but the yogurt sealed the deal

Blackberry and frozen rose honey meringue float w blueberry scone - 2

J's comment > not bad; float was intriguing and more flavorful than the avg root beer float; loved the fizz/foam on top that had strong berry notes; 'scone' unfortunately was more like a glorified but not as sweet pop tart

Baked to order salted chocolate chunk cookies w smoked malted milk - 2

J's comment > not bad; freshly baked as promised, but just doesn't compare to Pourhouse's cookies; milk was smoky, but not malty; cookies taste best after dunking in the milk
