Gotham's (Happy Hour)

August 28, 2014

Sample platter of the entire happy hour menu; individual assessments below

Lobster cobb salad (half portion of the regular size during happy hour) - 2

J's comment > crisp lettuce; decent lobster portion (although it certainly wasn't live lobster fresh from the tank); bacon bits and blue cheese dressing passable; avocado was sadly unripe, hard and watery

Sawmill Bay oyster - 2

J's comment > creamy oyster w a full body mouth feel; a suitable substitute for my beloved Summer Breeze

Tempura prawn - 2

J's comment > breaded coating but very thin; prawn texture OK; looks suspiciously like the jumbo shrimp below but deep fried

Canadian prime beef slider - 2

J's comment > beef slightly over done and a tad chewy; bread slightly stiff and thicker than I'd like given the amt of beef provided

Jumbo shrimp cocktail - 2

J's comment > deveined and crisp, but definitely defrosted; cocktail sauce a smidgen spicy
