Himali chicken: Spice marinated boneless chicken cooked and simmered in rich creamy tomato sauce - 2+

J's comment > suspiciously similar to butter chicken both visually and flavor-wise, but so tasty! chicken was particularly tender and juicy, not a single piece was dried out or overcooked; consistent rating from last visit in Nov 2012!

Gorkhali Khasi: Goat (bone-in) sauteed in various spices and flavorful Nepali curry sauce - 2+

J's comment > very tender meat & flavorful curry; flavor similar to beef actually, but no complaints; loved that there are bits of bone marrow left in the bone for picking at if you like marrow; consistent rating from last visit in Nov 2012!

Gurkha Pulau: Basmati rice cooked w green peas, green onions, saffron, cashews & raisins - 2

J's comment > saffron flavor not too strong (thank goodness), yet rice was quite flavorful and fluffy; could have used a a touch more cashews; a much better rice dish of saffron than the Persian equivalent, eg @ Zeitoon

Papad: Thin crispy Nepali wafers / cracker / flatbread - 2

J's comment > essentially a papadum; very crisp and brittle

Tingmo: Steamed Tibetan bread - 2

J's comment > tad dense; the Himalayan equivalent of a Chinese man tou

Dudhbari: Popular Nepali dessert with sweetened milk spheres in pistachio flavored syrup - 2

J's comment > not bad; essentially rasmalai, very creamy, sweet, but not saccharine; very spongy paneer (cheese)

Mango Lassi - 2

J's comment > not bad; not too thick; kinda like a light mango lassi milkshake
