Gorditas: 3 small homemade tortilla patties topped with beans, chicken, lettuce, cheese and salsa ranchera - 2

J's comment > not bad; very crisp chip base that held up when nibbling at it; good balance of refried beans, chicken and cheese (though there was a smidgen more beans than I'd like); really impressed that the Gorditas didn't shatter upon first bite

Enchildas mole: Chicken cooked in mole sauce rolled in corn tortillas, topped w more mole, sour cream sauce and feta - 2

J's comment > not bad; the best rendition of a mole chocolate flavor; decent amt of filling and meat in enchilada; wrap soft but firm; rice and refried beans on the side were passable

Carne asada platter: Grilled striploin steak served w queso fundido, corn rajas, salsa verde and rancheras, fresh pico de gallo and soft corn tortillas - 2

J's comment > lean beef tender but not too flavorful; cheese hardened to a blob, slightly salty, heavy for sure; sauces very spicy

Complimentary tortilla chips & salsa - 2

Guacamole (small) - 2

J's comment > all items were not bad; very crisp chips, good w the salsa which was not too spicy; guacamole (you have to pay for this though) was freshly made

Plato de Postres (dessert sampler plate) - 2

Churros - 2

J's comment > soft churro, slightly airy

Flan - 2

J's comment > flavor OK but texture really stiff

Rice pudding - 2

J's comment > thick, porridge-like texture; mild milk and cinnamon flavor

Jarritos: Tamarind - 2

J's comment > good balance of the tart and sweetness that is the tamarind w a punch of fizzy
