Salmon Oshi Sushi: Pressed BC wild sockeye salmon, jalapeno, miku sauce - 2
J's comment > not bad; rice well cooked; good balance of the sauce; wish there was a tad more salmon though, and a hint more jalapeno; slightly one dimensional in flavor but it was one heck of a flavor |

Aburi sushi lunch: Slection of signature Aburi nigiri, ochi and sushi rolls - 2
J's comment > not bad; a good variety of the various aburi offerings as indicated in description; same salmon oshi sushi was on the plate as the order above; the ebi oshi sushi was really similar (same 'secret' sauce I imagine), but again, just a tad one-dimensional, although you can definitely taste the crispness of the shrimp, but needs more shrimp; sunrise roll was OK, but completely outshone by the oshi sushis; didn't taste the nigiris |

Jidori Chicken Nanban w sweet & sour soy, house made tartar sauce, asian slaw - 2
J's comment > chicken tender but dry, all white meat; the tartar sauce was akin to egg salad which was interesting; otherwise, the sweet and sour soy and the asian slaw were more sour than any other flavor |
 |
Miso soup - 2
J's comment > came w the Aburi sushi lunch; slightly sour |
 |
Cherry Cassis Slice: Pistachio-rum sponge, chocolate and kirsch creams, cassis mousse, sour cherry-amaretto compote, stracciatella ice cream - 2
J's comment > cake had strong cherry notes, on the moist side, not too sour; ice cream had hints of bacon (?) in it; loved the cinnamon crumble on the side |
