Lobster hash w brussel sprout leaves, two poached eggs, hollandaise - 2

J's comment > not bad; very fresh lobster; eggs cooked very well, especially the egg yolk! a semi-hard golden orange color; cubed potatoes decent, slightly crisp but more soft in texture; hollandaise flavor not too strong

Egg special: Braised beef hash w two perfect eggs & hollandaise sauce - 2

J's comment > not bad; beef tender and flavorful, not dry, decent portion; eggs, potatoes and hollandaise cooked exactly the same as the lobster hash above

Egg special: Braised beef hash w two perfect eggs & swiss cheese - 2

J's comment > not bad; exactly the same as the braised beef hash above but with swiss cheese instead of the hollandaise; cheese was present and tasty, but could have used a touch more in the dish

Kronut - 2

J's comment > not bad; so Swiss Bakery's version is more croissant than donut, and the cronut @ DKA is more donut than croissant; guess what? Secret Location's version is I think by far the best combo of both croissant and donut worlds; fluffy enough to be a donut yet flaky in the way only croissants can be; loved the filling inside (wish there was more, it all squished out then moment my teeth sunk in); a pretty good dessert pastry but somehow I'm still leaning towards Swiss Bakery's as my 'go to' frissant

Croissant - 2

J's comment > not bad; light but still slightly dense; definitely flaky, but could be even crisper

Crepes w pistachio white chocolate ganache, fresh fruit, fresh berry sorbet - 2

J's comment > very thin crepes, texture not much bounce to it, rolled tightly; strong pistachio flavors but could have used more cream; in recent memory, the other rolled crepe would be the one from K & J food truck, which whilst not as 'pretty' nor as thin, has a bouncier texture that I favor

Croque Champi: Wild mushrooms, mizuna greens, brie cheese, truffle - 2

J's comment > mushrooms, 'shrooms and more 'shrooms... oh and cheese; didn't get much truffle from this; didn't know there would be such a whack load of greens to go with; essentially just mushrooms and cheese on toast (yes, that's what the word 'croque' means, and yes, it's technically right on all counts, even flavor, but yet it still failed to impress...) 

Complimentary raspberry sugar rolled donut balls w mascarpone cream - 2

J's comment > donut balls really dense; sugar was OK, not too crunchy w actual raspberry flavor; but needs more cream for dipping

Cortado: Espresso cut w a small amount of warm milk - 2

J's comment > not bad; smooth and not too bitter; financier OK 

Latte - 2

J's comment > not too milky latte

Americano - 2

J's comment > good enough to drink black, but I would add a sprinkle of sugar and a dash of milk
