T&B Benny: 2 poached eggs, pulled bacon, avocado, tomato, house hollandaise, english muffins, breakfast potatoes - 2
J's comment > not bad; ripe avocados and tasty pulled pork (not sure why it was called bacon, the only thing 'bacon-y' about the pulled pork was that it was made from pork); ingredients' ratio well portioned so that you can actually taste every ingredient in each bite; eggs poached well, runny on the inside when you cut into it; muffins just the slightest bit too hard though, would have liked it to be softer; potatoes OK, slightly crisped on the outside for some, but not all |

Barrel old fashioned pancakes: House made, whipped butter, chipotle peanut butter, Canadian maple syrup (half portion) - 2
J's comment > pancake dense and sticks to the teeth on chewing; needs way more butter than the tiny little pat provided; peanut butter OK, but nothing 'chipotle' about it; if you drown the pancake in the syrup, it's more palatable; FYI, the staff were actually very accommodating w this dish, as I asked for a half portion and they graciously delivered |
