Aussie Pie Guy

September 12, 2014

Shepherd's Pie: Ground lamb in a red wine, dijon stock w onion, carrot, celery & rosemary - 2

J's comment > generous amt of mashed potatoes; meat present, but could use a lot more; decent amt of peas; didn't get much celery (thank goodness); pie crust soft but held together everything as is the APG signature; everything stayed put with every bite

Aussie Pie: A traditional Aussie pie made with chunks of free range BC beef and organic onion in a pepper gravy made with Howe Sound Rail Ale from Squamish - 2

J's comment > lots of meat as I remembered from last year, but meat this time was on the lean side and hence slightly dry; very chunky too, would have preferred the meat chunks in smaller pieces for east of nibbling on, instead of cramming my mouth w a single piece of beef;
pie crust soft but held together everything as is the APG signature; everything stayed put with every bite

Bundaberg: Blood Orange - 2

J's comment > slightly fizzy, not too sweet; decent blood orange flavor
