Earl grey macaron - 2+
J's comment > crisp and airy, not my fav kind of macaron but the filling was creamy and had a strong earl grey flavor (as advertised) w a touch of caramel; not too sweet either, very well done on the filling |

Mango ganache - 2+
J's comment > a mango ganache that actually tasted like mango! Smooth filling w strong mango notes; this was more mango than chocolate, the chocolate acting as the strong sidekick to the mango star; not too sweet; FYI this chocolate is made in-house by Bernard Noir |

Black Forest cherry truffle - 2
J's comment > not bad; white chocolate not too sweet as is usually the case; filling had a berry note to it, but not definitively cherry; FYI this chocolate is from Germany |

Richart: Praline sesame - 2
J's comment > not bad; crisp and crunchy (the praline, I suspect) w strong sesame notes; not too sweet; FYI this chocolate is from France

French double baked almond croissant - 2
J's comment > croissant was more doughy than necessary, but very strong almond flavor; almond slivers lent a crispness that helped improve the croissant slightly |
 |
Marzipan marble chocolate cake - 2
J's comment >cake wasn't dry by any means but could be more moist; chocolate flavor not too strong, marzipan even more subtle (good thing for me); icing a good addition; overall not too sweet |

Belgian hazelnut cupcake w buttercream and chocolate topping (mini) - 2
J's comment > cupcake was firm and almost dry; buttercream frosting passable but not enticing enough to finish either on its own or w the cupcake |
 |
Walnut chocolate bite - 2
J's comment > similar to the cupcake in texture but slightly more chocolatey; more dry |
 |
Mini pumpkin muffin - 2
J's comment > mild pumpkin flavor throughout but muffin was almost 'gummy'-like in texture; any firmer and it would be a rock |
 |
Bernard Noir signature hot chocolate - 2
J's comment > not bad; definitely not from powder; strong chocolate flavor; not too heavy on the milk; lovely foam, I appreciate this instead of the usual whip cream you get, even though I love cream and butter; still, I prefer drinking chocolate |

Extra Comment
There is currently a SocialShopper for Bernard Noir. Unfortunately I made my visit one day too early to take advantage of this. :(
