Southern Fried Chicken w cornbread, green beans, honey butter - 2
J's comment > not bad; batter on chicken crisp, but would have liked more batter and crispness; chicken drumstick and thick tender and juicy, but the white meat unfortunately borderline dry; cornbread nicely crisped on the outside and soft on the inside, but slightly dry; loved the honey butter drizzle
FYI, this dish originally came with buttermilk mashed potatoes, but I asked for a cornbread sub which the staff were nice enough to do for me |

Pork Belly Cracklin': Crunchy pork belly, Cajun sweet & sour apple sauce - 2
J's comment > not bad; very crunchy pork belly, loved the crisped crackling; for the most part, meat not too dry, but some were still borderline fried the heck out - served piping hot too; not too much fat; loved the sauce, definitely added to the pork belly, kinda like a honey tamarind sauce more than apple |

Chefs Creek buck-a-shuck oyster - 2
J's comment > oyster slightly fishy, meaty; more info on this variety of oyster here |
