Jackalope's nachos: Nachos covered in marble cheese w black beans, roasted cumin yams & corn, served w roasted tomato salsa and sour cream on side (quarter order) - 2

J's comment > not bad; very crisp nachos, very grateful for having the nachos spread out so that sufficient toppings were spread out across all the nachos instead of just the nachos on top in a pile; decent amt of cheese, not overwhelming to the point of making the nachos soggy; yams were soft; could have used more beans and corn though

FYI technically, there's only the full order or half order available, but seeing how huge (and I really mean HUGE) the half order was at another table, we pleaded w our server for something smaller which she acquiesced to, thanks Jackalope!)

Skillet fried chicken: Tenderized chicken breast marinated in seasoned buttermilk, lightly battered and skillet fried, served white, thick-cut bacon gravy, cornbread, veggies, roasted root veggies - 2

J's comment > chicken very tender; would have liked a crisper skin though, but was unfortunately drowned in the gravy that was just unappealing (didn't get any bacon flavor in this gravy either)

Skillet mac and cheese: Creamy cheddar and jack cheese sauce w pale ale & onion, topped w more cheese and backed w cornbread crumbs - 2

J's comment > mac dry, cooked OK; needs a lot more cheese; cornbread passable, not too moist nor dry, flavor of corn mild

Beef brisket: Sliced brisket, sours-vide cooked for 48 hrs w whole mushrooms & jus, w cornbread, veggies, red beans & rice - 2

J's comment > brisket borderline dry, not marbly-fat as preferred; rice and beans OK; same comment on cornbread as above

Hoyne: Dark Matter - 2

J's comment > not bad; not hoppy at all; easy to drink
