Venison Tartar w quail egg, micro greens, potato chips and green olive dust - 2+

J's comment > very well done; tartar just as flavorful and non-gamey (not even when I concentrated!) as before; not as much cilantro either, which I surprisingly miss; other than these minute details, dish was just as spectacular as last time - crisp chips and mild olive dust

Braised Elk w wild mushroom faro risotto, sweet corn puree, and confit tomatoes - 2

J's comment > not bad; loved the corn puree, sweet as advertised but very tasty; elk was slightly dry, lean as wild game is wont

Oysters Rockefeller: Stellar Bay Oysters w kale, bacon, oyster cream sauce and bread crumbs, finished w fresh herbs - 2

J's comment > not bad; not 'fishy' at all like the motoyaki oysters you get at Japanese joints; flavors on the mild side overall, not too creamy nor heavy; even better than the oysters rockefeller I once had in N'awlins @ the source of this dish, Antoine's (sadly this was before Vanbrosia was born and I didn't the dishes from N'awlins back then); very well done

Daily feature: Cornish game hen stuffed w kale, ham and radicchio - 2

J's comment > flavors good but annoying to eat as there is very little meat, and what meat was there was on the firm side, making it hard to cut; the stuffing was delectable though, I'd say best stuffing I've ever had, but then I'm not a big fan of stuffing

Roasted Vegetable Soup: Roasted root vegetable puree, crispy onions and sage brown butter drizzle - 2

J's comment > decent carrot soup; loved the crispy onions more though

Hunters Ragout: Bacon wrapped chicken breast, shitake mushroom sauce, braised shallots, vegetable fricassee on house pasta - 2

J's comment > very tender and juicy white meat (this ain't easy to overcome); bacon flavor surprisingly not strong at all; mushrooms flavorful; pasta slightly al dente, OK, but not a fan

Flourless chocolate cake - 2

J's comment > texture on the moist and mealy side; not heavy at all; needs a stronger chocolate flavor

Beignets: A white, dark, and milk chocolate beignet and a maple frosted with crisp bacon - 2

J's comment > beignets really hard and chewy; flavors OK; didn't see the bacon

Edith Mae: Bourbon, mint syrup - 2

J's comment > neither too sweet nor too strong in alcohol; kinda like a 'teenager' soda, not quite an adult soda
