Musette in Chinatown

September 14, 2014

Lemon tart - 2

J's comment > not bad; decent crust, firm, flaky and crumbly; lemon custard could be just the slightest bit stiffer; good but avg execution

Chocolate croissant - 2

J's comment > not bad; generous amt of chocolate on the inside; croissant pastry itself was more like a slightly flaky, soft bread than an actual croissant though; needs to be a lot crisper w a more shattering crust

Turkey sandwich - 2

J's comment > generous amt of turkey, not dry either which was a surprise; needs a stronger flavored cheese; bread crisp yet soft enough; slightly one-dimensional overall

Yogurt & Granola w cranberry almond - 2

J's comment > avg yogurt, not sweet; granola texture was good though, firm and crisp w a hint of sweetness; berries OK

Bruce Cost Ginger Ale: Jasmine Tea - 2

J's comment > not bad for a ginger ale (I don't like ginger); ginger flavor definitely present, but acceptable, fizzy too; very light trace of the jasmine tea flavor

Freshly squeezed OJ - 2

J's comment > definitely freshly-squeezed as advertised, not too sour; still, really small portion for $2.75, height of the cup was about the width of a palm
