#D1 Egg custard tarts - 2+

J's comment > very fragrant egg custard of the perfect consistency and color; pastry shell delicate and flaky

#D2 Baked BBQ pork bun - 2+

J's comment > very soft buns w the lightest crisp topping; flavorful charsiu, just the right amt for this bun

#A11 Golden creamy custard buns - 2+

J's comment > oozing hot liquid creamy egg yolk centers (sorry, didn't get the pic); very soft buns w strong flavored egg yolk centers the first parallel to the ones I fell in love with at Fraser Court's

#11 Preserved duck egg w lean pork congee - 2+

J's comment > very flavorful congee, generous amt of lean pork w decent duck egg; best duck egg & lean pork congee that I've found in YVR

#K14 Chicken feet in abalone sauce - 2+

J's comment > flavorful chicken feet but not much 'meat' on these feet; sauce good, but slightly watered down, in fact it was drunk as soup by one of the diners

#A3 Steamed pork shao mai w fish roe (siu mai) - 2+

J's comment > firm pork texture w delicate flavor of siu mai

#A2 Shrimp Dumplings (har gao) - 2

J's comment > not bad; firm shrimp in solid pieces (not crumbly as per Sun Sui Wah on Main); flavor slightly milder than I prefer; wrapper good, didn't tear unless you used your teeth

#D4 Fresh durian baked pastries - 2

J's comment > not bad; fragrant durian flavor even before biting into this; filling very soft; shell as flaky as it looks

#K21 Deep fried squid tentacle - 2

J's comment > crisp batter but tentacles themselves a tad too hard

#19 Stir fried rice cake w beans & preserved vegetable - 2

J's comment > rice cakes too soft; flavor passable

#C9 Deep fried chinese donut wrapped w steamed rice rolls - 2

J's comment > donut too hard and chewy, not crisp at all; could have used another layer of rice rolls

#E11 Sweet Almond Tea w egg white - 2

J's comment > texture too thick, more egg white than almond methinks, although the almond flavor is strong
