Duck a l’Orange w baby potato ragout - 2

J's comment > duck cooked well, firm but no tendons between the meat; sauce OK, definitely had orange flavors as advertised; veggies roasted soft and flavorful (surprisingly, I kinda liked these!)

Wild Mushroom, Yam & Leek Strudel w truffled mustard cream - 2

J's comment > crisp pastry on the exterior but became soft towards the center; didn't get much mushroom flavor, but were present visually; strong truffle notes; yam and leek made a decent filling, but not outstanding

Slow Braised Lamb Shanks tomato eggplant puree, gremolata - 2

J's comment > lamb tender, not dry but avg flavors; the puree was just plain strange... I think the tomato and eggplant just don't mix that well together; same delightful veggies as the ones that came with the duck

Complimentary bread and butter - 2

J's comment > bread soft, served lukewarm; butter tasted like fridge

Warm Banana Cake w brandy filled bananas, ice cream - 2

J's comment > not bad; very soft cake (yes cake, not bread), that had really strong banana flavors; caramel sauce simply sealed the deal

Warm Chocolate Fondant w fresh berries - 2

J's comment > molten lava cake w chocolate lava in the center that flowed out on cutting open same; cake slightly firm but not hard; not too sweet; decent, but not outstanding

Lavender Vanilla Brulee w almond butter cookie, fresh berries - 1

J's comment > custard sadly overcooked, had a mealy texture; didn't get the lavender flavor at all; cookie was rock hard and almond flavor absent
