Double Baked Croissant with Pecan Maple Syrup - 2

J's comment > not bad; very different for sure; extremely crisp and crunchy w hints of the pecan and maple syrup flavors; not heavy at all

Pain au Chocolate w Hazelnut - 2

J's comment > not bad; really flaky and crisp exterior w a soft center; decent amt of chocolate in the center that was still melty! but personally would have loved even more chocoalte

Duo: Orange cream, dark chocolate mousse w hazelnut crunch on a base of almond sponge - 2

J's comment > not bad; lovely mousse texture and chocolate flavor; didn't get much of the orange though; there was also this round flat piece of chocolate 3/4 of the way down in the cake that smushed the cake when you dig your fork in (not sure if this was supposed to be the crunch?)

Mangue Éclair: Mango curd, confit and cream in choux pastry - 2

J's comment > choux was soft, not crisp at all; mango curd and confit present visually, but flavors could be a lot stronger

Pineapple Avocado chocolate - 2

Pumpkin chocolate - 2

Maple syrup macaron - 2

J's comment > the pineapple avocado was interesting, a good meld of both flavors; FYI, the pineapple avocado chocolate was the winner of the 2014 Chocolate Awards, Gold for Canadian; pumpkin chocolate had strong pumpkin notes and texture too; macaron texture was OK, decent filling to meringue ratio, but whilst sweet, didn't really ring 'maple syrup' to me
