Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom on Venice Beach

November 15, 2014

Bratwurst: Traditional Midwestern style pork sausage (sample) - 2

J's comment > avg, slightly chunky, flavors surprisingly on the mild side, not too salty

Tequila chicken (sample) - 2

J's comment > didn't get the tequila at all but not as fatty as the bratwurst

Sweet Italian: Flecked with oranges, peppers, fennel, and garlic - 2

J's comment > touch sweet but didn't get the orange; FYI, took about 10 mins to get the dog from ordering, not sure about this, but shouldn't a sausage joint specializing in sausage production have a faster turnover?

Once more, the prettier the view, the crappier the food. As the sausages about were forgettable to say the least, case in point...

Venice beach! Practically empty.... It wasn't the warmest day for sunbathing but still much better than YVR's offerings

Or would you prefer to check out these canals?
