Egg Custard tart - 2+

J's comment > very flaky tart shell, a bit on the thin side, but very good otherwise; fragrant custard of the right consistency, not too firm, not too watery; excellent color; served semi-lukewarm though, imagine how much awesomer it would be piping hot!

Steamed prawn dumpling (har gao) - 2+

J's comment > very thin wrapper, tore a little bit when picking up, but good balance of wrapper to filling; filling also very fresh and loved the mix of shrimp paste w actual whole pieces of shrimp

Deep fried crispy tofu - 2+

J's comment > good crisp batter on the exterior, delicately seasoned, not too overpowering; tofu soft in the center

Vegetarian Goose - 2+

J's comment > this is actually tofu skin stuffed w mushrooms; falls apart upon picking up, but very tasty; good ratio of tofu skin to mushrooms

Steamed pureed egg yolk bun - 2

J's comment > not bad; bun soft; centre not as liquidy as expected (but then we did let it sit for about 5 mins before digging in); filling had decent amt of egg yolk flavor

Steamed prawn & pork dumpling topped w flying fish roe - 2

J's comment > not bad; fresh and firm filling; generous portion of filling

Steamed chicken feet and gluten in black bean sauce - 2

J's comment > flavor your avg black bean sauce for chicken feet, but chicken feet were skinny and hardly had any 'meat' on them

Braised beef tripe and tendon w chinese radish - 2

J's comment > not stinky at all as I've encountered in the past; texture very 'cartilagy'; one of the better tripes I've ever had, but still not a fan

Sweet osmanthus, longan and wolfberry jelly - 2

J's comment > jelly texture firm; needs more of the listed ingredients though, all I tasted was gelatin

Dim sum to dim sum, Starlight Casino's Kirin is much better than Alberni's.
