Grilled Malibu Chicken: Grilled free range lemon herb chicken, bc premium lettuce, strawberries, grapes, sunflower seeds, avocado, shredded carrots, avocado vinaigrette dressing - 2

J's comment > not bad; as I'm naturally adverse to all fronds, I actually ate my half and then some, which kind of proves that the mix was pretty good given its inherent uh 'disabilities'; generous amt of chicken, although it was chicken breast and as such was semi-dry, but the avocado vinaigrette totally saved the chicken on this point, also had a lovely grill flavor; actual salad-wise, the leaves were certainly not the freshest (you can see in the pic some look a bit wilted), but the combo of the strawberries, grapes, seeds and avocado were in the right ratio (could have used more avocado but this was passable) and made this salad palatable for a non-veggie eater; FYI, you can choose any dressing you want, but the avocado vinaigrette is recommended

Garlic Roasted Porchetta Sandwich: Oven roasted BC free range natural pork loin seasoned with herbs and garlic, grilled french baguette, sriracha mayo drizzle, pickled carrot, red onion & fennel, hot banana peppers - 2

J's comment > porchetta a smidgen dry, but the sauce made up for it; a smidgen spicy on account of the banana peppers; baguette OK

Chicken orzo soup - 1

J's comment > lukewarm and semi-bland; a few pieces of dry chicken strings and absolutely no orzo in sight (orzo is the rice-like looking pasta)

Roasted corn & tomato soup - 1

J's comment > surprisingly, unlike the soup above, this one was served hot but it really might was well be called 'tomato paste'; yes, the texture was as thick as it looks, and no, there was very little corn flavor (well that is to be expected, but w the amt of corn you see, you'd think there'd be a stronger corn flavor)

Had a VanEats pass for this which is still available as of today!

Really weird vibe at this place - it looks like a $2 pizza joint, but doesn't serve pizza, just salads, sandwiches and soups. Also offers wine and beer. A most unusual addition to the Yaletown vibe at least as far as decor is concerned.
